New Haven, CT - H. Pearce Commercial Real Estate is pleased to announce that Joel Galvin was awarded the Guilford Rotary Club's highest honor, a Paul Harris Fellow, at their annual installation dinner on July 1, 2009.  Galvin was awarded this honor for his outstanding leadership and dedication for his 20 years as president of the club's Memorial Education Fund.  As an additional honor, the Joel L. Galvin Scholarship Award was created for awarding funds to persons in need of higher education and or training.

During Galvin's term as president, the Memorial Education Fund awarded close to $200,000 in scholarships and non-interesting bearing loans.  Galvin's legacy is the raffle he started as a fund raiser.  The 2009 raffle just began and will be completed on August 19th, 2009.
