The
various offices of North Haven-based H. Pearce
Real Estate Co. closed for a day in September
to spend their "Day of Caring" volunteering
at various sites throughout the Greater New
Haven and Shoreline areas.
H.
Pearce's Madison agents spent a morning learning
how to prepare for emergencies with the Madison
Emergency Preparedness Response Program. Guilford
agents manned various drop-off sites and collected
canned foods and donations for the Guilford
Food Bank and landscaped that organizations's
property. The Branford office collected books,
as well as read to students at various elementary
schools in the Branford area in conjunction
with the Read to Grow Program. The New Haven
agents went to two different sites: They were
landscaping and painting at The Park Street
Residence, and painting at the ALSO-Cornerstone
Pendleton House.
The
H. Pearce Commercial Division did yard work
and painted at the Columbus House Program's
Sojourners Place. The Corporate Services Division
unpacked boots and stacked shelves at the
New Haven Reads Book Bank. The company's Orange
regional office painted the Orange Senior
Center. The Wallingford agents worked hand
in hand with the Wallingford American Red
Cross Blood Drive.
Barbara
Pearce, president and chief executive officer
of the company, visited the H. Pearce sites
where the agents were volunteering.
"The
spirit of giving and giving back that I saw
in every location was heartwarming, and it
made me feel even prouder to be both a volunteer
for The United Way and president and CEO of
the H. Pearce Co.," she said.
H.
Pearce Real Estate Co. has been actively involved
in its local communities since 1958. As a
companywide effort and in honor of those who
help others, all of the branch offices worked
in their own local communities.
H.
Pearce Commercial Real Estate specializes
in Connecticut’s central, south-central,
and Shoreline markets, with offices in North
Haven and Rocky Hill. Commercial property
offerings can be found in color on the web
